My mother is the definition of love. The beauty of her heart has led her to follow a path that overflows with endless dreams and opportunities that even she could have never imagined having. Her laugh is a melodious tune that spreads warmth to all the wilting flowers, bringing life back into every single one of them again. There will never be a day that I could possibly amount to all the love that she has ever given to me, because the love of my mother is infinite.
There is love when my mother brings freshly cut fruit for me to eat. There is love when my mother calls me randomly throughout the day to ask how I am doing. There is love when my mother refuses to go to sleep until I arrive home safely.
I learned that my heart belongs to the monsoon, but this is only because she was the one to introduce its beautiful existence to me in the first place. You will find her in a garden that is scattered with flowers, giving sunshine that makes each one of them smile. You will find her sitting against a tree, getting lost in a book that only brings her dreams to life. You will find her singing along with the birds that fly across the brilliant blue sky, enchanting every life known in this world.
I still remember the day when I told my mother that she must wake up and start her day with good intentions. Several months later, she told me that she never stopped following these words. When she told me this, I knew that I had a little bit of what my mother always had inside of her heart: the love that will help make this world a better place to live in.
My mother taught me that there is love in every little thing, and there is no shame in being the one to discover it first in a world that needs more of it. She taught me that everything that I will ever need is already within myself, and I should never seek approval from anyone else. She taught me that for flowers to bloom within my heart, I must begin planting seeds. I must take care of each corner of my heart, so I can grow into the woman that I was always meant to be.
